Palms are important and conspicuous elements of the outdoor landscape in warmer regions, and in the interiorscape just about everywhere, and are projected to become increasingly popular in the near future.  

The luxuriant tropical appearance and stately silhouette of palms add much to the California landscape. Few other plants are as striking in low and mid-elevation gardens. Several areas in California and especially Southern California offer a mild Mediterranean climate that is very conducive to the growth and vitality of a wide range of palms, from the several varieties of Dwarf Palms to the massive Canary Island Palm.
